Meet the Girls

Two Naughty Bellies is the brainchild of two constantly weight-obsessed girls who love to eat - we blame it on being Singaporean.

Gen

Gen loves being in the kitchen experimenting with all different recipes. She much prefers to cook as opposed to baking but will definitely give baking a go! Her current obsession is now learning to cook indian food from scratch and getting to know the multiple spices used in this intricate cooking style.

She loves going to different countries and trying the different cuisine the country has to offer. Her favourite foods are those which have a very good and balanced flavours i.e. not just salty or not just so spicy where it burns your taste buds and u can't taste anything but chilli in you mouth.

Foodie preferences:
  • Loves fish, especially barramundi
  • Loves meat, will die without it
  • Slightly more picky with veggies but her favourite are long beans

Current favourite haunts:
  • Perth: Seizan, Little Caesar's, Billy Lee's, Bistro Felix
  • Singapore: Chomp chomp, Wild Honey, so much more

Nadie

Nadie loves food, to the point that everyone in her office teases her about taking photos of her lunch and her friends have come to expect every second Facebook update to be food-related. She is not quite sure how to take that. Hmm.

She's a bit lazy when it comes to cooking these days but she does still have a passion for discovering new flavours and experimenting in the kitchen. She has yet to muster up the courage to attempt making macarons and is shamefully in need of working on her repertoire of Singaporean dishes.

Nadie loves the concept of fresh, local produce and consequently, loves sniffing around the local farmers' markets as and when she can. She also loves home-style cooking and street food.

Foodie preferences:
  • Loves most veggies but will never be vegetarian
  • Doesn't drink, doesn't eat pork
  • Hates dry chicken, bittergourd and grapefruit
  • Notorious sweet TEETH

Her current favourite haunts:
  • Perth: Toast, Little Caesar's Pizzeria, Ha-Lu, Hanami... and her bestie's house! heh.
  • Singapore: Barracks Cafe, Al-Amin, Adam Road
  • Sydney:  Zumbo at The Star, Harry's Cafe de Wheels
  • Bangkok: Ban Khun Mae
